Ouwehands Zoo Rhenen is temporarily closed

News

In line with the measures announced nationwide in relation to COVID-19, we are once again closing.   We hope to welcome you again from February 10th.

With this closure, the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) is aiming is to reduce interpersonal contact, and thus also infections. Since reopening in May, we’ve made every effort to make a day at the zoo as safe as possible. We are a walk-through location, with visits to Ouwehands Zoo largely taking place outdoors. As a result, there have been no incidents since the reopening in May 2020 that have led to this closure.

Of course, we regret having to close again. In the meantime, our animals will continue to be cared for, and we'll be preparing for when we can reopen as best we can.Keep an eye on this page and follow our channels for the latest updates.
